Update on VAN Conference Planning

The VAN Conference Committee is making lots of progress on making 2015 the best conference yet!  Our theme is “Fusion: Integrating Standards and Innovation”.  We will explore current industry standards and exciting innovations in the world of volunteer management!  Our keynote speaker is Betty Stallings, a renown author and volunteer management expert. Betty is planning to retire from the field very soon! So as her parting gift to us, your conference registration will include access to Betty’s extensive online resources, a $100 value!

The conference will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Bellevue College from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are working on updating and finding images to illustrate the our conference theme on the website page.  But the call will go out soon for RFPs to present a workshop at our conference. So what have you learned in your position that you’d like to pass on?  We would like to hear from you!

The registration for the conference will open in April. The Early Bird registration price is $75 by May 15 and $80 after May 15. An exciting new option this year is to bring a co-worker or a volunteer for only $20 additional!  This is a great opportunity to grow the skills of a lead volunteer or staff person!  Scholarships will also be available.

Mark your calendar now for this not to be missed conference on June 26!

I’m so excited for the conference this year! I invited one of my lead volunteers to attend with me two years ago and she loved it. It was a great way to thank her for all her work. You can bet I’ll be taking advantage of the $20 deal this year!
