VAN Membership and the National Conference Discount!

VAN Logo - largeSquareI’ve never been to a National or International Conference on Volunteer Management.  Then I found out the Points of Light Conference is in Seattle this year. What an opportunity!  So VAN decided to not hold it’s annual conference this year but to support this International Conference at the Washington State Convention Center on June 19 – 21.  I was excited to be able to see the top knowledge experts in the world on volunteer management but the price was a barrier. So VAN leadership went to bat and got a special discount for our members from Points of Light – only $200 for all three days!  (More information about the conference at )

Not holding a conference put VAN in a tiny dilemma in that we always get members through our annual conference registration.  Current Membership will end in June for everyone.  So we decided that all those who renew either at our  half day workshop in March or through our on-line membership registration site would get a code to get half price registration.  You can also mail in registration with our form – 2017-18 VAN-Membership-Application  but notify me at if you mail in so you’ll get the National Conference Discount code by the May 1 deadline. (So the conference discount is just for renewing members for the 2017 – 2018 year and membership is good until June 2018!)

So why become a member of VAN? It’s an opportunity to invest in yourself by connecting with a network of smart, savvy and resourceful Northwest Volunteer Managers.  Share your skills, ask questions, give advice, find a new tool – it’s really up to you as to what you get out of VAN.  It only gets better the more you tap into the great minds in our community. 2017-18 VAN-Membership-Application or
