Welcome to all – join our workshop on Race Based Privilege

privilege_laddersVAN is offering a workshop that will utilize the Peacemaking Circle Process to raise awareness about the nature and impact of race-based privilege and learn strategies for starting conversations about race. Participants will entertain questions like: What does white privilege look like? What are examples of white privilege that you have experienced and/or witnessed? As a result, participants should be able to recognize the harm done to those with and without race privilege and how they can challenge and compromise race-based conversations and relationships.

We want this workshop to be available to all so we have scholarships available so even if you don’t have a training budget or just work part-time or are just stretched thin financially, you too can attend this important workshop.  The scholarship is for 50% off the price, so just let Lisa Yeager know if you are interested. E-mail her at Lisay53@yahoo.com and write “VAN Scholarship” in the subject line. The price includes a lite breakfast, full lunch and professional workshop leaders!
