How do you train your staff to work with volunteers? Many new employees entering a non-profit have never worked with a volunteer in the workplace before, so how do you communicate their value as a volunteer, potential donor, and advocate for the organization to your staff? In our January Professional Gathering, Alex Ropes will talk about how the staff of the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County receive their training on how to engage volunteers within their organization to keep them coming back!

When: Thursday, January 26th, 11:30am-1:00pm.
What: Brief presentation on how the HSTPC trains our staff to work with volunteers, round table discussion on how other organizations train their staff, plus Q&A of this topic, and any other burning questions you may wise to pose to the group.
