The theme for the VAN Annual 2014 Conference is “Inspire. Engage. Sustain: Nurturing a Thriving Volunteer Ecosystem.” Our keynote is Erica Mills who will talk to us about the power of words. We will have workshops for both experienced Volunteer Program Managers and for those brand new to the profession. This is a great opportunity to network with your peers too. Rick Lynch will lead us in some guided networking sessions, besides the time we’ll have to interact at lunch and breaks.

Who: Anyone who works with volunteers or is a volunteer!

What: An exploration of how to build, support and sustain a thriving volunteer ecosystem in your organization and in the community beyond.

When: Friday, June 27 from 8:00 – 4:00

Where: Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Ave S, Tukwila, WA 98168.

How much: Early bird by May 23 is $75; $80 after May 23. The price includes your VAN membership, meals, all workshops and speakers.

Lisa Yeager has more than 15 years experience in Volunteer Management. She has lead volunteers at the Bellevue Art Museum, WACAP, Hopelink, Encompass, Autism Speaks (Walk Now for Autism), and the Sno-valley Senior Center. She has won the DuFort Award for Volunteer Management, and Program Manager of the Year in 2000. She is currently Treasurer and conference chair for VAN.
